Lorsque la SEE (Société pour l'Expansion des Exportations) est prête à conclure un financement à forfait, elle enverra une lettre d'intérêt général. Cette lettre décrira la marche à suivre par l'exportateur et précisera le taux d'escompte de la SEE en vigueur à ce moment-là pour le pays visé. Les taux sont reconsidérés chaque mois, mais la lettre d'intérêt donnera un point de référence à l'exportateur.
